Adam Internet Releases New Features 26th September 2005
Adam Internet has released some exciting new features. AdamDirect customers will be able to customise their line profiles, and any ADSL customers will be able to change plans, all from the Members Services area (http://members.adam.com.au). There is also an updated webmail system with improved performance, features and reliability (http://webmail.adam.com.au).

Performance Profile Manager

This new feature, known as the Performance Profile Manager, is available in the members area and allows customers to 'tune up' their AdamDirect connections, ensuring the best Internet experience possible.

The Performance Profile Manager allows customers to view their current connection speed, as well change the capabilities of their ADSL line. Profiles range from 'Conservative' to 'Thrillseeker', with bandwidth varying from 4mbit up to 24mbit speeds.

To use the Performance Profile Manager, simply select the profile you wish to use. Your profile will then be loaded into your AdamDirect service and configured. During configuration, you may lose connection to the Internet and ADSL synchronization. Your modem will then reconnect with these settings and sync up again once the profile is successfully configured. In the event your modem doesn't reconnect with the new profile, the Performance Profile Manager will automatically change you back to your previous working profile after 15 minutes of attempting the new profile. This Failsafe System ensures that you can configure the right profile for your system.

Further information can be found in the Performance Profile FAQ (http://members.adam.com.au/profilechange/profile_faq.php)

Automated ADSL Plan Changer

Residential ADSL customers can now change their plans at a click of a button. For security reasons, customers are required to log into the Plan Changer using their primary account username and password. There are a flexible range of options for plan types, speeds, upgrade options and when the plan change is to take place (Immediately or Next Billing Cycle).

Updated Webmail System

Adam Webmail now has a newer, cleaner look and some enhancements that will make viewing email more enjoyable. Your mail quota is now displayed, showing you how much storage capacity you have used and remaining. You are also able to customise your own skins to make webmail a more personal environment. The new look of webmail provides a bit of a 'sneak peek' into the upcoming re-release of the Adam Internet web site.

Stay tuned for some additional enhancements just around the corner.
